Welcome to Year 5.  As your child enters the “Upper Juniors” they will face exciting challenges that will allow them to become effective learners, developing their independence and resilience, preparing them for the future. In Year 5 we provide a bright, stimulating learning environment where the children are encouraged to think for themselves and use the resources around them to extend their learning. Our wide curriculum topics will engage and entertain the children while providing them with plenty of creative opportunities. These topics include: Legends of Olympia, Out of this World and Scheming Sovereigns. Our aim this year is to develop the children’s growth mindset enabling them to grow in confidence, perseverance and determination, equipping them for the new challenges they face in Year 6 and beyond.
The Year 5 team are committed to providing each child with the opportunity to progress. Mrs Cherry and Mrs Setchel are kind and caring members of our team who work constructively to support the children’s learning, as well as providing support and guidance within the classroom.
