School Council

Our School Council acts with and for the whole school. The representatives take ideas from their classes and share them at the meetings. Our school counsellors work hard to help the children in their classes participate and get involved in the different projects that take place throughout the year.

We recognise that the children in our school all have the right to have an opinion on the decisions we make that affect them.

The School Council can help develop the children’s understanding of their role as a citizen both locally and in the wider world.

Consultation between the senior leadership of our school and the School Council can lead to a better school, where we work together as a team and decide on what is best for all of us.  It is not simply the adults in the school that make the decisions.  The children have a really important role in this process too and the School Council makes sure this happens.

The School Council is the voice of the pupils in our school.   They work with the adults to ensure we are meeting the needs of everyone.

The School Council Representatives for 2017/18 will be announced shortly.
